Terms of Service for Voice Lock

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and BinaryScript Private Limited ("Binary Script," "we," "us," or "our") for your use of the Voice Lock mobile application (the "App").

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The App

Voice Lock is a voice lock screen. You record a short unlock phrase in your own voice; the App then shows its own lock screen over Android's whenever the screen turns off, and unlocks when it hears that phrase in your voice. A backup PIN always works.

Paid features let you lock the phone by saying a lock phrase, find the phone by saying a find phrase or by clapping (it rings at alarm volume, vibrates and flashes the torch), and wake and unlock the phone with the screen off. All recognition happens on the phone by on-device models.

3. Security Notice

Please read this before you rely on the App.

Voice Lock is an extra layer on top of Android's own screen lock. It is not a replacement for it.
Voice matching can be fooled, for example by a recording of your voice or by a very similar voice.
If you need strong security, keep a PIN, pattern or fingerprint on Android's own screen lock as well.
The App is provided as is. We are not liable for access to your phone gained through or around the App.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

5. Your Responsibilities

Use the App only on a phone you own or are allowed to control.
Keep your backup PIN private.
Before uninstalling the App, turn off its device administrator permission in the App's Settings or in Android Settings > Device admin apps.
Do not try to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the App.

6. Plans and Billing

A free plan, when offered, includes voice unlock and the backup PIN.
Paid plans are monthly and yearly subscriptions, each with a one-time free trial per user (3 days for monthly, 7 days for yearly), and a one-time lifetime purchase.
Outside India, purchases are made through Google Play and are governed by Google Play's terms.
In India, subscriptions are paid by UPI AutoPay through PhonePe, as an auto-renewing mandate, after you sign in with Google.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If you do not cancel before a free trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
When a paid plan ends, the paid features stop and Voice Lock releases its lock screen. Your phone's own Android lock is not affected.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will always recognise your voice, reject every other voice, or work on every phone.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BinaryScript Private Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or unauthorised access to your phone, arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by turning off its device administrator permission and uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last Updated" date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.
