Privacy Policy for AutoSMS Excel

This Privacy Policy describes how Binaryscript Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the AutoSMS Excel mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Recipient Lists: You add recipients from a CSV or Excel file you select, from a sample list, or from your phone's contacts. This data is stored locally on your device and is NOT transmitted to our servers.
• Phone Contacts: Only if you choose "Pick from contacts", the App asks for permission to read your phone's contacts. It reads names and phone numbers only to show them to you, and keeps only the ones you select, on your device, to build your SMS list. Contacts are never uploaded to our servers, sold or shared. Analytics record only how many contacts you chose. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your phone's settings.
• Campaign Data: Campaign names, message templates, and campaign configurations are stored locally on your device.
• Templates: Message templates you create are stored locally on your device.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

We collect anonymized usage data through Firebase Analytics, including:

• Usage Analytics: App features used (screens viewed, buttons clicked)
• Campaign Statistics: Number of campaigns created, recipient counts
• File Statistics: Row counts, column counts, file names
• App Performance: Performance metrics, error logs, and crash reports
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
• App Activity: Timestamps of actions, session duration, feature usage patterns

1.3 Account, Payment and Location Information (India only)

In India, where subscriptions are paid through PhonePe (UPI AutoPay), you sign in with your Google account and your subscription is kept on our server (api.binaryscript.com). For these users we receive and store:

• Account: your name, email address and Google account identifier, from Google Sign-In
• Subscription: your plan, its status and payment order references (PhonePe processes the payment; we never receive your bank or UPI credentials)
• Approximate Location: your city, state, country and approximate coordinates, looked up once from your internet connection (IP address) through BigDataCloud. The App does not use GPS and does not ask for location permission. We store it once with your account, to understand where our users are.
• Device and App Details: device model, Android version, app language and the Firebase app instance identifier, which links your account to the App's analytics so we can measure our advertising (see 4.1)

We use the collected information for:

• Providing and maintaining the App's functionality
• Improving and optimizing the App experience
• Understanding how users interact with the App
• Identifying and fixing bugs and technical issues
• Analytics and research to improve our services
• Processing in-app purchases and subscriptions
• Sending service-related notifications (if applicable)
• Complying with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

We use Firebase (Google) services for:

• Firebase Analytics: Usage statistics (anonymized)
• Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting and diagnostics
• Firebase Remote Config: App configuration management
• Firebase Performance Monitoring: App speed and network performance
• Firebase App Check (Google Play Integrity): Checking that requests come from the genuine App
• Firebase Authentication: Google Sign-In (India only)

These services may store anonymized data on Google's servers in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

3.3 Security Measures

• Your lists and messages stay in the App's private storage on your device
• All communication with our server and service providers uses HTTPS/TLS
• Payments are handled by Google Play or PhonePe; we never see card, bank or UPI credentials

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with:

• Google Firebase: Analytics, crash reporting and performance (usage data)
• Google Ads: We advertise the App on Google. Firebase Analytics events such as app installs, trial starts and purchases are shared with Google Ads to measure and improve our ad campaigns. No recipient list, contact or message content is ever included.
• Google Play Services: Billing and subscription management
• PhonePe: Subscription payments in India
• BigDataCloud: The approximate location lookup described in 1.3 (it receives your IP address)

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or in response to:

• Legal processes, subpoenas, or court orders
• Enforcement of our Terms of Service
• Protection of rights, property, or safety of our users or the public
• Prevention of fraud or security threats

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

4.4 We DO NOT:

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Share your CSV data or contact information with anyone
• Show you ads based on your recipient lists, contacts or messages

5. Your Data Rights

5.1 Access and Portability

• You can access all your locally stored data within the App

5.2 Deletion

• You can delete any campaign, template, or CSV data from the App at any time
• Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data from your device

5.3 Opt-Out

• You can disable crash reporting in your device settings
• Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be opted out while using the App

5.4 Rights for Indian Users

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

• Right to access your personal data
• Right to correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure/deletion of data
• Right to data portability
• Right to withdraw consent

5.5 Rights for EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights:

• Right to object to processing
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
• Right to withdraw consent at any time

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@binaryscript.com, and we will take steps to delete such information.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence, including but not limited to the United States (where Google Firebase servers are located). These countries may have different data protection laws than your country. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

8. Data Retention

• Local Data: Stored on your device until you manually delete it or uninstall the App
• Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, then automatically deleted
• Account, Subscription and Location Data (India): Retained while your account exists; deleted on request
• Crash Reports: Retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes
• Billing Data: Retained by Google Play according to Google's policies and applicable laws

• Outside India, subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing; in India, through PhonePe (UPI AutoPay)
• Payment information is handled entirely by Google or PhonePe; we do not receive or store payment details
• Subscription data (status, product ID, order references) is stored on your device and, in India, on our server
• Refer to Google's and PhonePe's privacy policies for information on payment data handling

11. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies. However, third-party services (Firebase, Google Play) may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and functionality purposes.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending a notification through the App (for material changes)

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
