a) SMS Data
AlertMe reads incoming SMS messages on your device solely to detect bank transaction notifications (credits, debits, and upcoming payment reminders). This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
b) Device Information
We may collect non-personal device information such as device model, operating system version, and app version for the purpose of improving app compatibility and performance.
c) Crash and Analytics Data
We may collect anonymous crash reports and usage analytics to improve app stability and user experience. This data does not include any SMS content, financial information, or personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To detect and announce bank transaction SMS via text-to-speech on your device
- To display transaction history in the passbook view within the App
- To improve app performance, stability, and compatibility

3. Data Storage and Processing
a) On-Device Processing
All SMS reading, parsing, and text-to-speech processing happens entirely on your device. Your SMS content and financial data are never uploaded to any server.
b) Local Storage
Transaction data displayed in the passbook view is stored locally on your device. This data is not synced, backed up, or transmitted externally by the App.
c) Data Retention
Locally stored transaction data remains on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the App.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information, SMS data, or financial data with any third party.
We may share non-personal, aggregated, anonymous data with:
- Analytics providers to help us understand app usage patterns
- Crash reporting services to improve app stability
5. Permissions
AlertMe requires the following permissions:
- SMS Permission: To read incoming bank transaction SMS and announce them via voice alerts. This is the core functionality of the App.
- Notification Permission: To display ongoing notifications and alert you of transactions.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services that have their own privacy policies. These may include:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase Crashlytics (for crash reporting)
- Google Text-to-Speech engine

- Clear all locally stored transaction data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the App
