How to Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your Daily Mantra - Jaap Counter account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.
warning Important: Cancel Subscription First
If you have an active premium subscription, please cancel it first before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
PhonePe: open the PhonePe app > Profile > Autopay (Manage Subscriptions / Mandates) > find Daily Mantra > Cancel / Stop. You can also email support@binaryscript.com to cancel.
Understanding Your Data
Daily Mantra stores data in two locations:
1. Local Data (On Your Device)
The following data is stored only on your device:
- Mantra session history (deity, count, timestamps)
- Alarm settings and reminders
- User preferences (selected deity, wish/sankalp, mantra count)
- Streak and progress tracking data
- Cached authentication tokens (encrypted with AES256)
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data.
2. Server Data (Our Servers)
The following data is stored on our servers:
- Phone number (used for OTP login)
- Name, email, country, language (if logged in via Truecaller)
- Authentication records
- Subscription status and payment records (via PhonePe)
This data requires a deletion request to remove.
How to Delete Your Account
Step 1: Cancel Your Subscription (If Active)
Via the PhonePe app:
- Open the PhonePe app
- Tap your profile icon
- Go to Autopay (Manage Subscriptions / Mandates)
- Find the Daily Mantra mandate
- Tap "Cancel" or "Stop" to end the recurring AutoPay
You can also email us at support@binaryscript.com with your registered phone number to request subscription cancellation.
Step 2: Send Account Deletion Request
Email us at: support@binaryscript.com
Subject: Account Deletion - Daily Mantra
Include in your email:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name (if provided during registration)
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account
- Reason for leaving (optional, helps us improve)
Step 3: Uninstall the App
Uninstall Daily Mantra from your device to remove all local data:
- Go to your device's Settings
- Navigate to Apps > Daily Mantra
- Tap "Uninstall"
This will remove all locally stored mantra sessions, alarm settings, preferences, and cached data.
What Happens After Deletion
- Local Data: Immediately deleted when you uninstall the app
- Server Data: Deleted within 30 days of your deletion request
- Analytics Data: Anonymized data may be retained per Firebase's policies
- Subscription: Continues until current billing period ends (if cancelled, not refunded)
Data We May Retain
We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
- Transaction records for financial audits
- Information needed to resolve disputes
- Anonymized analytics data
Important Notes
- Subscription Refunds: Account deletion does not automatically qualify for a refund. Please see our Refund Policy.
- Re-Registration: After account deletion, you can re-register with the same phone number, but your previous data (mantra sessions, streaks, preferences) will NOT be restored.
- Truecaller Data: If you logged in via Truecaller, revoking Truecaller access from your Truecaller app settings will also remove the authentication link.
Alternative: Clear Local Data Only
If you want to keep your account but clear all local mantra data:
- Open your device's Settings
- Go to Apps > Daily Mantra
- Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
This removes local mantra sessions, alarm settings, and preferences while keeping your account active. You will need to log in again.
