Binary Script ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by PayAlert.
Information Collection
Information We DO NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal financial information such as bank account details, credit card numbers, or UPI IDs
- We do not transmit your transaction data to our servers
- We do not use your data for marketing or advertising purposes
- We do not sell your data to third parties
Information We DO Collect
- Notification Data: PayAlert reads notifications from UPI payment apps (such as Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, etc.) to detect payment receipts and provide voice announcements. This is processed locally on your device.
- Device Information: We collect basic device information for crash reporting and app performance monitoring through Firebase Analytics.
- App Usage Data: Anonymous statistics about app usage to help us improve the app experience.
- Settings and Preferences: Your app settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the PayAlert service
- To announce payment receipts via text-to-speech
- To store and display transaction history for your reference
- To generate analytics and reports of your transaction data (all processing occurs locally on your device)
- To improve and optimize the app's performance and user experience
- To detect and fix crashes and technical issues
Local Data Storage
All transaction data is stored locally on your device. We implement appropriate measures to protect your data:
- Local database encryption for sensitive transaction data
- No cloud backup of transaction data unless explicitly initiated by you
- Data retention controls allowing you to clear historical data
Required Permissions
PayAlert requires the following permissions to function:
- Notification Listener: Required to read notifications from payment apps to detect transaction receipts
- Storage: Required to store transaction data and app settings locally
- Internet: Used only for Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (app functionality works without internet)
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics and app performance monitoring
- Firebase Crashlytics: For crash reporting to help identify and fix technical issues
- Google Play Billing: For processing subscription purchases (payment information is handled directly by Google, not by us)
Each service has its own Privacy Policy and terms governing the use of your information.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases:
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect the safety, rights, or property of PayAlert, our users, or the public
- In connection with a sale, merger, or acquisition of all or a portion of our company
Children's Privacy
PayAlert is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data stored in PayAlert at any time by:
- Going to the Settings section in the app
- Selecting "Clear Data" option
- Additionally, uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data from your device
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
