Refund Policy for App Store Purchases
5K Steps is a mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the refund policies of those respective platforms.
Apple App Store Refunds
For purchases made through the Apple App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple, not directly by us. According to Apple's policy:
- Refund requests should be submitted directly to Apple.
- To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Select the purchase you want to report and follow the instructions to request a refund.
- Apple may ask for a reason for your refund request.
- Apple makes all decisions regarding refunds for App Store purchases.
Google Play Store Refunds
For purchases made through the Google Play Store, refund requests are handled by Google, not directly by us. According to Google's policy:
- For eligible in-app purchases, you can request a refund within 48 hours of purchase.
- To request a refund, visit Google Play Order History, select the purchase, and click "Request a refund".
- For subscription purchases, you may cancel at any time, but the subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds are provided for the current subscription period.
- Google makes all decisions regarding refunds for Google Play purchases.
Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings:
- For iOS devices: Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, select the 5K Steps subscription, and tap Cancel Subscription.
- For Android devices: Open the Google Play Store app, tap Menu > Subscriptions, select the 5K Steps subscription, and tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancelling a subscription will stop automatic renewal, but you will still have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
Special Circumstances
If you encounter technical issues with the 5K Steps app that prevent you from using the premium features you've purchased, please contact us at [email protected] before requesting a refund. We will attempt to resolve any technical issues promptly.
Non-Consumable Purchases
For one-time, non-consumable purchases (such as permanent app features or upgrades):
- These purchases are typically linked to your Apple ID or Google account
- If you reinstall the app or install it on a new device, you should be able to restore these purchases without additional charges
- To restore purchases, use the "Restore Purchases" option within the app
